Ayten is a professional belly dancer from Cincinnati, Ohio. Her style of dance is primarily modern with Turkish influence. She has been performing for over 4 years at local parties, events, restaurants, lounges, festivals, and establishments. Ayten has competed and won Rising Star awards in both Cincinnati and Columbus. 

 

Ayten began dancing in 2012 when she lived in Dayton, and has continued her training in middle eastern dance by taking  classes and workshops with master instructors. Ayten has drawn inspiration from Turkish style oryantal dans through her multiple travels throughout Turkey. She has taken classes in Ankara and continues her practice of the language. Ayten translates to "moon skin" or "skin like the moon", which she acquired while briefly residing in Ankara after friends and family named her for her pale skin.
